Earth Day Resources
The first Earth Day took place 52 years ago. The organizing group recognized the energy of student-led activism in the 1960's and wanted to infuse that energy towards environmental consciousness with the general public.
At Lincoln, our students about reducing, reusing, recycling, restoration, and environmental justice. Though the actions of one person may feel small, our impact collectively is significant!

Denver Organizations
Denver Park Trust - working in partnership with Denver Parks & Rec. Kids are able to volunteer at clean up days and volunteer events.
Denver Botanic Gardens - there are fantastic kids programs (and the Mordecai Kids' Garden is a great spot to cool down on hot summer days).
DPS Students for Climate Action - DPS student-led organization who is pushing the district to become a national leader on climate action, sustainability, and environmental justice.
