School Choice: How You Can Help!
The DPS School Choice Round 1 window is now open through February 14. In each of the last two years we increased our enrollment and saw increased funding for our school. We want to see those numbers grow even more for the next school year.
How can we increase our enrollment? Through the power of our own Lincoln community.
Here’s how you can help:
Post a Lincoln yard sign in your window or front yard to increase Lincoln’s visibility in your neighborhood. We’ll have yard signs available after school today (Thursday, 1/18), and again next week.
Talk to your friends. Identify 3 non-Lincoln families and talk with them about our school, programs, and your experience. “Peer-to-Peer” conversations are most effective at reaching new kids and families.
Get the word out on social media. Post on your social media about Lincoln and the school choice enrollment window.
And don't forget the incredible accolades our school received last year. Here's a snapshot:
Received 2022 John Irwin Award, given to schools that demonstrate exceptional academic achievement over time
Received 2022 Governor’s Distinguished Improvement Award, given to schools that demonstrate exceptional student growth.
In 2022, Lincoln Elementary received the State of Colorado's highest rating of "Exceeds Expectations" for Academic Achievement (English Language Arts and Math) and Academic Growth and scored 99.4/100 on the Colorado State SPF.
In the 2021-22 school year, 86.3% of our Kindergarten-3rd grade students were reading on or above grade level
Thank you for all you do to keep Lincoln strong. Thank you for helping us reach our enrollment goals!
