Board Transitions
(Anna and Michelle lead; All attendees present involved in discussion)
PTSA board elections are in April 2024
Nominating committee: in the bylaws, must be composed of 3 members
Sarah has been working with Allison Kahlich however she is not currently able to commit at this time; Sarah is on board to stay for strategy however would like to begin working with someone to transfer day to day role/responsibilities
Jen has been doing a lot of updates, they are working with a new platform
Student data privacy through DPS will dictate what platforms can be used
Emily is working on standardizing field trips
Rory-membership is streamlined; merch needs work-it’s not sustainable the way it’s currently being run; can do some bulk ordering
New Membership lead; we’ve outgrown the cart currently being used for membership/merchandise at events
How do we want to handle the transition process and handing off information-
Electronic binder? Series of budget, volunteers, communications (folders) so new board coming in can kind of plug in and keep moving forward.
Binder would have a table of contents for each event-continuous chain of communication
Scavenger hunt- Ryan will create binder
Bike to school day/Celebrity crossing guard-Amy Kenriech
Marlon-staff appreciation; Gina Gancheva wants to help and will connect with Marlon
Business list- multiple people are finding them (Lara-Bash, Tera-PIE, Kate-Restaurant Night)-create master list and then potentially send out one communication for ways they can support Lincoln
Lara-has there ever been a fundraiser PTSA lead? Group response-good idea
Reassure those coming in that there will be support to transition the new board
Teacher support role
Ryan-technology role; PA system in place is in a good position; infrastructure is so much better than past years
Sarah-graphic design

4th Para:
prioritize para needs
Ideal state-every classroom has a para, which is +4 from what we have right now
Children get the education they need and teachers go home with their needs met,- we’re going to continue ask
We could break it down to say, if every child (family) donated this amount ___ , we would not need to fundraise for the rest of the year
Do we want to use our surplus to more immediately fund another para?
Vote to use the $15,000 directly to para support
Anna motioned to spend $15,000 surplus for the 4th para
Liz seconded, all in favor, motion passed

Talked in Aug re: have a board liaison for every event, it would be good to assign that
Earth Day: (Sarah Sze)-game to involve the kids, coordinated with a picnic
Outdoor movie night-Scott Balderman is on board to keep doing this for the foreseeable future; /Sarah Sze-need to have a continued power source (currently the neighbors-Radcliffes that live next to the field)
Science Night (2/29/23)-Orla is the lead, trying to shift to be more school run and PTSA supported; Mariah and Kate Huisken are signed up to be the leads; idea is kids are working on something across the school (Nivale lead?, if not Michelle will be back up)
