Call to Order: Ryan Garret at 6:32p, Anna seconded

Action Items: Motion to approve the minutes from April by Doug; no motions for changes; all in favor; last month’s meeting minutes approved.

Update on Principal Selection Process (Anna Jennett, President):

  • Today-Thursday, May 2nd: The CSC is scheduled to conduct interviews of the top candidates for Lincoln’s new Principal

  • Monday, May 13th: Virtual community forum with the top candidates

  • Before the end of the school year: DPS central office will proceed with a final selection and announce the new Principal

  • Update on joint PTSA and CSC letter submitted to DPS- it was well received overall

Elections (All Persons present contributing):

  • Anna provided an Intro to elections

  • Stacy-spoke re: nominating herself for president

  • Have had a couple people reach out today offering to helpOpen positions- PIE coordinator, Restaurant night tbd, volunteer (Erick Valdes is a possibility)

  • Ryan motioned to move to vote for new board positions,

  • Doug seconded

  • Stacy Berger has been nominated for President, all yays, no nays

  • Amy Miller has been nominated for VP, all yays, no nays

  • Lara Pomprowitz has been nominated for fundraising chair, all yays, no nays

  • Allison Kahlich has been nominated for co-communications chair, all yays, no nays

  • Mackenzie Schmidt has been nominated for co-communications chair, all yays, no nays

  • Sui Wong has been nominated for technology chair, all yays, no nays

  • Sarah Rothman has offered to take over merch chair; all in favor

  • Liz Mogno will take over membership

  • Discussion re: how long we leave nominations open 

  • Term for new board begins July 1st per the bylaws

  • Sarah S.: “having the calendar mostly developed by the end of June is imperative; things will inevitably change throughout the year,” end of year housekeeping that is important

BASH Update (Anna Jennett, President; Doug Lazure, Treasurer; Lara Pomprowitz, BASH Lead):

  • We made $11,000 over our goal; we stayed under 10% for cost (we cut BASH costs by over $1,000 at this year’s event)

  • Actual Income: $75,168; Actual Expenses: $7,594 (event cost + $2300 credit card fees)= Total: $9,894; Actual P/L: $65,274

  • Ticket Sales: $9,925

  • Income earned just from ticket sales: $2,331

  • 23.5% ticket sales went straight to Lincoln

Budget Update (Doug Lazure, Treasurer):

  • Funded an extra para

  • New playground equipment

  • We’ll come out ahead as far as expectations

  • Good financial shape going into next year

  • Should be having more coming in towards the end of the year

Merch Update (Rory Salem, Membership and Merchandise):

  • got the new sweatshirts, have been selling them, one was sent to Gracie’s memorial site in Boston

  • the company we’ve worked with is offering an ad-hoc store front; there are multiple merch options (beyond clothing); we then wouldn’t have to hold stock in our homes

  • may have a clearance sale as we move forward with the new board and choices made

  • will change from hand delivery by the merch chair to be able to order from the store and have it delivered to home

  • Lara mentioned re-sale option for merch-will discuss

Teacher Appreciation Week Update (Michelle Marshall, VP):

  • Leftover bash items and experience items are up for raffle or just sign up

  • Lunches

  • Chalk the entry to the school

  • Still need schedule of events for teacher appreciation week

  • Michelle mentioned teacher appreciation week schedule; lunches all week

General Discussion Items (Michelle Marshall, VP):

  • Michelle and Rory spent a significant amount of  time re-organizing the PTSA closet earlier this year and it has been disorganized quickly and it would be advantageous to inventory, figure out who has access and what can be re-situated.

  • End of year, summer conversation with new principal
